Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American actor and a singer. The career of Wuhrer began when she was still in her teens. Her most famous role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in Sliders; and her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a policeman and car dealer). There are three siblings. She was a teenage singer who performed in clubs and hid from the family in order to do so. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American actress and model, was born in Brookfield, CT on April 28, 1967. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was a teenager. Kari would get away at night to sing and entertain her friends. In the year she turned 13 older, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. She then enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and renowned instructor Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was still in the teen years. Kari got her first big appearance with MTV Remote Control in 1987.
